Order of Worship

Greeting

Call to Worship                                                            Hebrews 10:23-25

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

Invocation

* Hymn # 345                           “Glorious Things of Thee Are Spoken”

Affirmation of Faith:                 Westminster Confession of Faith 26.1-2

The Communion of the Saints

Q. With whom do the saints of Christ have fellowship?

A. All saints, that are united to Jesus Christ their Head, by His Spirit, and by faith, have fellowship with Him in His grace, sufferings, death, resurrection, and glory: and, being united to one another in love, they have communion in each other’s gifts and graces, and are obliged to the performance of such duties, public and private, as do conduce to their mutual good, both in the inward and outward man.

Q. To what are the saints of Christ bound?

A. Saints by profession are bound to maintain a holy fellowship and communion in the worship of God, and in performing such other spiritual services as tend to their mutual edification; as also in relieving each other in outward things, according to their several abilities and necessities. Which communion, as God offereth opportunity, is to be extended unto all those who, in every place, call upon the name of the Lord Jesus.

  • Romans 11:33-36

Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and how inscrutable His ways!
For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been His counselor? Or who has given a gift to Him that he might be repaid?
For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be glory forever. Amen.
