James Braden is a native of Toledo,
Ohio.
After receiving a call into the ministry shortly after his conversion, he
enrolled at Columbia Bible College and later received a B.A. in Anthropology
from Nyack College, Nyack, New York in 1968. He married Phyllis Miller that
same year and enrolled at Bethel Theological Seminary in St. Paul,
Minnesota. He completed his Master of Divinity in New Testament in 1972 and
then served 13 years in Christian & Missionary Alliance pastorates in New
Jersey and Ohio. From there he pursued studies at Covenant Theological
Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri from 1985-1987, earning a Masters of Theology
in Biblical studies and Pastoral Care. He has served Cross Creek
Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Fayetteville, North Carolina since 1987, He has
taken short term mission trips to Honduras, Mexico and
Belize.
