Women In the Church (WIC)The purpose of Women in the Church in the
Presbyterian Church in America is “that every woman know Christ personally
and be committed to extending His Kingdom in her life, church, community
and throughout the world.”
Women in the Church has been an active group at Cross Creek during most
of its history. A WIC Council is elected each year, and these women plan
and carry out a yearly program which seeks to provide for fellowship,
encouragement, Bible Study, and outreach. At Cross Creek the WIC oversees
the church nursery, records the church history, plans baby and bridal
showers, contributes to and carries out mission projects, provides college
care boxes at Valentine’s Day, Senior Citizens’ care boxes at
Thanksgiving, visitation of the elderly, and meals for those in need.
