Ten Forty-Five Morning Worship

Senior Pastor: Rev. James Braden

Assistant Pastor: Rev. Bill Bivans

Greetings in the Name of the Risen and Reigning Lord Jesus Christ!

We are glad that you are here!  Please enter the worship service and show love and deference to your brothers and sisters by being as quiet as possible upon entering. You may continue your worship preparation by praying or reflecting upon the words of the hymns.  Please pray expectantly that the Triune God will be exalted and glorified as we worship Him in spirit and in truth, and that we would truly receive all that our Lord desires for us this morning.

Worship of Our Triune God

Silent Preparation for Worship

Call to Worship Ps. 98: 1–3

Pastor: Sing to the Lord a new song, for He has done marvelous things;

People: His right hand and His holy arm have worked salvation for Him.

People: All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

*Hymns of Worship

Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord, O my soul.  I will praise the Lord all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live. Ps. 146: 1, 2

Affirmation of Our Faith “The Shorter Catechism”

Q.  19 What is the misery of man’s fallen condition?

A. By their fall all mankind lost fellowship with God and brought His anger and curse on themselves.  They are therefore subject to all the miseries of this life, to death itself, and to the pains of hell forever.

Q.  20 Did God leave all mankind to die in sin and misery?

A. From all eternity and merely because it pleased Him, God chose some to have everlasting life.  These He freed from sin and misery by a covenant of grace and brought them to salvation by a Redeemer.

Q.  21 Who is the Redeemer of God’s chosen ones?

A.  The only Redeemer of God’s chosen is the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, who became a man.  He was and continues to be God and man in two distinct natures and one person forever.

Pastoral Prayer

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.  For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.

And gladly, as Thou blessest us, to Thee our first-fruits give.
